  This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to manage anaphylaxis in the first aid context, in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. We offer the course in two modes:
  • Full course: Completion of pre-course study plus 2 hours practical training
  • Refresher course: Completion pre-course study plus 2 hours practical training
It is recommended this unit is renewed every 3 years in line with industry standards. This course requires a minimum of 10 participants to proceed. This course is booked on an 'as needs basis'. HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
This course teaches the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. We offer the course in two modes:
  • Mixed mode: Completion of pre-course study plus 2 hours of practical training
  • Face to Face: 3 hours practical training
It is recommended this unit is renewed every 12 months in line with industry standards. This course requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed. This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency will contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011). We offer the course in two modes:
  • Mixed Mode: Completion of pre-course study plus 7 hours practical training (run over 1 day)
  • Face to Face: 10 hours face to face training (run over 2 days)

This unit applies to workers who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, include community and workplace settings. This course covers:
  • Basic Life Support
  • CPR & AED (DRSABCD)
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Oxygen therapy and resuscitation
  • Oropharyngeal airway
  • Bag valve mask (BVM)
  • Maintenance of resuscitation equipment
We offer the course in 2 modes:
  • Mixed Mode: Completion of CPR pre-course study plus 6 hours practical training
  • Face to Face:  7 hours face to face training
It is recommended this unit be renewed every 12 months in line with industry standards.
